- Week 1: count what you have. How many records, how many with a working email or phone, how many touched in two years. Pick the slice that matches the roles you fill most.
- Week 2: search first, every time. For each new brief, 15 minutes in the database before any advert. Write down who you found.
- Week 3: call back fifty. Choose the 50 best people in that slice you haven't spoken to in a year. A short, personal message: still there, still happy, what would make you move? Update every record.
- Week 4: measure it. Count the shortlists and placements that came from people you already knew. Set a target for next quarter and run the audit again.
